Your Money is hard-earned. We Get it!

Beware the ‘pretend-gineer’

In Queensland, we have a unique system that distinguishes experienced professional engineers from the ‘pretend-gineers’. The RPEQ system stands for Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland. Any engineer wanting to undertake professional engineering services in and for Queensland is legally required to register as an RPEQ. But not all people calling themselves engineers and offering site inspections are registered with the BPEQ. We are!

We know you don’t want ‘good advice’ – you want advice you can rely on and trust!

Our Expert team are registered with the Board of Professional Engineers Queensland and have the required RPEQ registration. This means they can offer advice to you that can be relied upon. All underpinning design must be undertaken and certified by a registered engineer (RPEQ) able to issue a Form 15 and Form 12 that meets the standards on completion of works.

Your first step before you work with an Engineer – are they registered?

We recommend the first step before you engage a professional Engineer to undertake a site inspection and report is to ensure that they are doing the right thing for you, your budget and your property. If rectification works are needed at your property, you want to be able to trust the inspections, reports and designs will be accepted, relied upon and utilised by credible contractors and Master Builders. If you do not use a registered RPEQ Structural Engineer like us, they will not have the ability and credibility to take you through the entire journey of inspection, rectification and certification. That means you may have to have the reports or designs redone.

But there’s more (as the saying goes) – experts hang out with experts

When you work with My Structural Underpinning Engineers we guarantee we have the registration, ability and credibility to produce professional reports, designs, inspections and certifications. AND MORE – we will be able to recommend you to our trusted network of quality providers where needed – the ones we find honest, transparent and experts in their field also – and…

With My Underpinning Structural Engineers, you get all the guarantees that you need to ensure your property is safe and secure!

The Three Big Questions To Ask Before Engaging Your Engineer

They Will Give You Peace of Mind!

1. Are You an RPEQ Registered Engineer?

2. What is Your Registration Number?

3. Is Your Report for ‘my own use’, or can I share it with other engineers or contractors for rectification works?

It is always a good idea to take a moment to check out anyone offering advice or working on your property that they are registered. For foundation engineering investigations and designs, ask the contact for their registration number (a five-digit number) and quickly check their registration and disciplinary records by clicking here.
